Lel Tone
Lel Tone grew up in Switzerland, where she started skiing at the age of 3, and later moved to the U.S. Now a longtime Tahoe resident, Tone’s career spans everything from pro mountain racer on the Norba National circuit to paddleboard ambassador to avalanche educator, professional ski patroller, and avalanche forecaster for the Union Pacific Railroad. She holds Level 1, 2, and 3 avalanche certifications and is a certified AIARE Level 1 and 2 avalanche instructor and an EMT. She’s worked as an Alaskan heli ski guide for Points North Heli, Chugach Powder Guides, and the Tordrillo Mountain Lodge. Tone was nominated for Best Female Performance by Powder Magazine and in 2015, she was part of the winning team on National Geographic Channel’s Ultimate Survival Alaska.
