You don’t need to carry extra weight up the trail. So, we designed the Laser Short for mountain bikers who want a slim profile and clean, streamlined design to get them uphill fast, so they can enjoy the way down. Laser cut vents in the fabric help keep you cool while you’re sitting on the saddle and one perfect pocket stores your phone or a packet of energy-boosting gel. The short has a 10-inch inseam any kind of riding and a waist adjustment system gives you the perfect fit and the fabric is treated with DWR.

Form Fit Slim Regular Relaxed

Regular: A traditionally cut fit that sits comfortably and true to size. Not too baggy; not too tight. Right down the middle. This standard fit allows for plenty of maneuverability in a classic, everyday shape for daily life and active missions.

  • These have a side cinch on both sides of the waist for a custom fit. Size has been updated this season for a fit true to the size chart.

The Laser Short Features
MTB Stretch IQ
MTB Stretch IQ has the tough textile resiliency you’ve come to rely on but with a touch more stretch for comfort and mobility. Made from a nylon-spandex blend, this is the fabric we put in pieces like our more lightweight, streamlined mountain bike shorts. It dries quickly when you sweat or pedal through rain, thanks to a PFC-Free DWR finish, and it’s got 40+ UPF for sun protection.
PFC-Free
PFCs, or perfluorocarbons, are found in chemicals often used in Durable Water Repellent (or DWR), and once released into the environment, those chemicals are no good. Instead of harmful PFCs, we’re using a friendlier, bio-based treatment that will still keep your fabric dry in a storm but is kinder to you and our planet.
Like sunscreen, not all garments are created equal when it comes to sun protection. Some fabrics still let the sun in and don’t completely block those harmful rays. This product is equipped with 40+ UPF technology to protect your skin from the sun’s powerful rays. That means this garment will keep out around 97 percent of those UVAs and UVBs. You can now soak up the sun on the trail or water and come home with summer memories instead of a sunburn.
