This timeless classic with modern features has a quarter-zip neck for easier layering and ventilation. It’s made from a warm gridded fleece for max comfort on a cold day. Layer this versatile midlayer under your shell while skiing or wear it wherever you’re headed.

Fit and Sizing

Regular: A traditionally cut fit that sits comfortably and true to size. Not too baggy; not too tight. Right down the middle. This standard fit allows for plenty of maneuverability in a classic, everyday shape for daily life and active missions.

  • Model in Shadow and Rye is 6'2" 170 lbs, 32" waist and is wearing a size Large.
  • Model in Ponderosa Pine is 6'3" 175 lbs, 34" waist and is wearing a size Large.

The Mateo Fleece Features
Furano Fleece
Our proprietary Furano Fleece, by Intuitive, looks all comfy and soft, but it’s way tougher than your average teddy bear. It’s got a smooth-faced surface that blocks wind and a grid backing that adds warmth. Because it’s coated in a PFC-free Durable Water Repellent, you can wear it on its own as an exterior layer or layer it under a shell for extra insulation.
PFC-Free
PFCs, or perfluorocarbons, are found in chemicals often used in Durable Water Repellent (or DWR), and once released into the environment, those chemicals are no good. Instead of harmful PFCs, we’re using a friendlier, bio-based treatment that will still keep your fabric dry in a storm but is kinder to you and our planet.
