Why We Love the Anderson Shirt

When it comes to the Anderson Shirt, our design philosophy was simple: Make a shirt we'd want to wear every day. The trick is not to overthink or overbuild. Sometimes less really is more. We paired a breathable, lightweight stretch fabric—a smart blend of polyester and spandex—with a clean, modern design in the form of collared, button-up styling and easy-to-use durable pearl snap buttons. Then we added in fun colors and prints and bam: You’ve got a party-ready shirt that performs like a tech T.

This is a shirt you can wear biking or spring skiing and then rock for the rest of the day without a change. It's truly a year-round essential.

The men’s Anderson Shirt has been a solid daily driver for years, starting in spring 2018, and in 2024, we added a women’s version of the Anderson Shirt, which has been wildly popular with our team and staff.

Here's what reviewers have to say about the Anderson Shirts.

"A summer shirt that does it all from the morning commute to the post workday tour-de-bar. Based on appearance, the Anderson Shirt has everything you need to appear a reputable member of society—a clean, low-key logo exterior, a respectable collar and a tasteful cut suitable for the office and meetings with colleagues.” —Off-Piste Magazine

“This suave hiking shirt says you have some trail cred without the technical dorkiness of some outdoor brands. Made with a mix of comfy, stretchy, and quick-drying materials it’s technical enough to use in the wild but it’s still casual enough for a round of golf or drink with friends.” —Blue Ridge Outdoors

“The traditional collared Anderson Shirt was a big hit with the men, so Flylow gave it a little touch-up to make it available to women this year as the W Anderson Shirt. The material – Flylow’s Intuitive Stretch IQ – is ideal for days in the hot sun, especially with its quick-drying capability. It features 50+ UPF, a left-side chest pocket, 26-inch center back length, and sleek black buttons.” —The Loam Wolf

“Like any other advanced jersey fabric, it seems to evacuate moisture and invite ventilation. Another special part is the snaps. Most of the performance-oriented button-up jerseys use snaps instead of buttons, but given how often I wear my one and only Anderson shirt (on and off the bike), it’s impressive that I haven’t seen the slightest bit of damage around the snaps … the buttons are holding firm, despite the very dynamic fabric they’re attached to.” —Bike Mag

“This snap-button can be worn to the office or on the trail. Its stretchy nylon-spandex blend is quick-drying and rated UPF 50 for long days in the saddle.” —5280
