Details
For the light and tough Goodson Short, we took a stretchy, lightweight fabric and added a streamlined, low-profile waistband that won’t slip. Wear over a chamois for the trail or on its own for a beer and a burger. The custom MTB-ready fabric deflects branches while swerving forested singletrack, dries quickly, and stays put no matter where you are on the trail. The fabric feels light and breathable for long climbs and has stretch for mobility. You’ll get a mid-length 11.5-inch inseam and plenty of coverage for bombing the descent, plus zippered thigh pockets that can store your phone and a low-profile, no-bulk fly with no metal hardware, just a Velcro closure. It’s treated with a Durable Water Repellent.

Form Fit Slim Regular Relaxed

Regular: A traditionally cut fit that sits comfortably and true to size. Not too baggy; not too tight. Right down the middle. This standard fit allows for plenty of maneuverability in a classic, everyday shape for daily life and active missions.

  • The Goodson Shorts have stretch elastic in the waist and belt loops and numeric sizing for a personal fit. Go by the size chart and you'll be good. If you are really debating between sizes and aren't a belt guy, take the lower size.
  • Model in Cinnamon is 5'10" 180 lbs and is wearing 34
  • Model in Marine is 6'2" 200 lbs and wears the 34 perfectly

The Goodson Short Features
MTB IQ
All of our fabrics are designed to withstand the rigors of the mountains and the abuse you put your gear through when you’re riding mountain bikes. But the moisture-wicking MTB IQ is particularly tough. Sticks and stones don’t stand a chance here. A breathability factor and 40+ UPF keeps you cool on hot days, and the eco-friendly PFC-free DWR treatment makes it quick drying, too.
PFC-Free
PFCs, or perfluorocarbons, are found in chemicals often used in Durable Water Repellent (or DWR), and once released into the environment, those chemicals are no good. Instead of harmful PFCs, we’re using a friendlier, bio-based treatment that will still keep your fabric dry in a storm but is kinder to you and our planet.
Like sunscreen, not all garments are created equal when it comes to sun protection. Some fabrics still let the sun in and don’t completely block those harmful rays. This product is equipped with 40+ UPF technology to protect your skin from the sun’s powerful rays. That means this garment will keep out around 97 percent of those UVAs and UVBs. You can now soak up the sun on the trail or water and come home with summer memories instead of a sunburn.
