Details
Call it your backcountry emergency insulation. Maybe you’ll never need it, but if you do, you’ll be really thankful you have it. The Dexter Jacket, made with 60 grams of post-consumer recycled PrimaLoft Eco micropuff insulation, dries fast and stays warm even when conditions get wet. It’s so compressible, it won’t take up much room in your pack. So, stuff it into a corner of your pack when you don’t need it, or layer it under a shell when you do. The Dexter is backcountry ready, thanks to pockets you can access with a pack on and generous pit zippers for ventilation.

The Dexter Jacket Features
50/50 Inbounds/Out-Of-Bounds
Conditions dependent, you split your time pretty evenly between the ski resort and the backcountry, which means you need gear that's tough and waterproof enough for the pounding of tram laps and storm skiing inbounds but won't sweat out on a climb on those days you decide to earn your turns. Here, we opt for fabrics and features that do double duty, like jacket powder skirts you can zip out or bib pants made for versatile pursuits.

The Dexter Jacket Features
Pertex Quantum
What good is down insulation inside a jacket if the exterior fabric isn’t doing anything in support? Pertex Quantum is like the insulation’s maid of honor—it’s there to make sure all the pieces fall into place. This tightly woven exterior fabric, constructed from fine yarns, has a light, soft feel that allows the insulation to fully loft. It traps still air to improve the warmth and efficiency of the insulating layer, and it’s coated with a DWR to dispel wind, rain, and snow.
Primaloft Eco Insulation
The performance experts at PrimaLoft, Inc., have combined 80% recycled materials with advanced fiber technology to create a high performing eco-friendly insulation for immediate warmth without the bulk.
PFC-Free
PFCs, or perfluorocarbons, are found in chemicals often used in Durable Water Repellent (or DWR), and once released into the environment, those chemicals are no good. Instead of harmful PFCs, we’re using a friendlier, bio-based treatment that will still keep your fabric dry in a storm but is kinder to you and our planet.
Bluesign® Certified
We work with the best partners in the textile industry to ensure our products and materials meet the highest safety and environmental standards. From bluesign®-approved supply chains to products tested and approved by Oeko-Tex for consumer safety to Durable Water Repellents made without PFCs,we are certifying our supply chain and retaining all supply chain certificates for full transparency and to ensure that we use materials that align with our goal of making the least impact possible on the environment.
