Photo by Ben Girardi[/caption] After a week of spring skiing, the snow was finally coming down hard in Bariloche, Argentina. A five-day, non-stop storm had left Cerro Catedral with almost 10 feet of snow. I d arrived just in time to enjoy it. It was of the first sessions with Sass Global Travel, a ski, snowboard and surf camp that leads trips in the South Hemisphere. Being able to ski woods with that much snow was an unbelievable experience, with constant face shots. My guides and leaders were pro skiers like Michelle Parker, Will Wesson, Garrett Russell and many more that was an experience I ll never forget. The inbounds skiing was awesome and then we started to hike out to other places, where the views, the snow and the terrain went beyond my wildest expectations. We bootpacked or skinned out to Laguna, a huge bowl filled with stellar chutes and cliffs, where we had the place entirely to ourselves. Being down there with the amazing people and making new friends and memories that will last a lifetime is something that I will carry with me forever, along with, of course, the new skills, technique and knowledge that I picked up along the way.
