Women who run extra cold traditionally didn’t have many options when it came to insulated ski pants. You’d have either the dreadfully unflattering or the not-at-all stormproof. No thanks. Now, with the Sphynx Bib, a highly technical bib pant for women made with Finish 2-layer hardshell and lined with a toasty layer of thin micropuff insulation, you can stay warm and dry in all conditions and not look or feel like a triple wrapped burrito. It’s about time. It fits slim through the legs but with plenty of stretch for moving around.

Fit and Sizing

Regular: A traditionally cut fit that sits comfortably and true to size. Not too baggy; not too tight. Right down the middle. This standard fit allows for plenty of maneuverability in a classic, everyday shape for daily life and active missions.

This lightly insulated women’s bib fits a little looser than some of our other bibs, like the more slim-fit Foxy Bib. But it’s still got a regular, athletic fit—not oversized—and fits true to size. Our women fit testers said the Sphynx Bib has a touch more space in the tummy area. Pro tip: If you need more room in the belly, simply unzip the zippers on the kangaroo chest pocket for more breathing room. If you like this style of fit but don’t want insulation, check out the Moxie Bib or the Drift Bib. Need to know: Relaxed fit; standard sizing applies.

The Sphynx Bib Features
Finish 2L
Think of Inuitive’s Finish 2L like shark’s skin: It’s sleek, a little stretchy, and water glides right off of it. Apply that to a pair of ski pants and you get a strong 75-Denier fabric that’s ready for any weather conditions but also has a good amount of mobility and flexibility, you know, in case you need to twist or backflip on a whim.
PFC-Free
PFCs, or perfluorocarbons, are found in chemicals often used in Durable Water Repellent (or DWR), and once released into the environment, those chemicals are no good. Instead of harmful PFCs, we’re using a friendlier, bio-based treatment that will still keep your fabric dry in a storm but is kinder to you and our planet.
