Our kids’ Chemical Pant has all the cool stuff you love about the grown-up version—burly fabric, reinforcements around the knees and cuffs, adjustability at the waist, waterproof/breathable two-layer fabric—in a size that fits the next generation. Because we don’t believe in cutting corners on kids’ gear. If anything, these lil’ rippers need tougher gear than we do. The Youth Chemical Pant comes with a light layer of insulation and is durable enough to last through many hand-me-downs.

Don't worry, we still offer ample venting and fabrics that release heat and moisture when you warm up, so if you want to take a hike or go for a ski tour, you won't overheat.

The Youth Chemical Pant Features
Surface 2L and 3L
Do this for a minute: Put on your ski jacket or pants and go step in the shower. If you’re wearing a Flylow piece made with Surface 2-layer or 3-layer hardshell fabric by Intuitive, you’ll watch the water bead up on the surface and slide right off. This burly, 150-Denier oxford weave, coated with a Durable Water Repellent, is designed to keep you warm and dry and have a tough but smooth feel. A nylon tricot on the backing protects the membrane and wicks moisture away from your body.
PFC-Free
PFCs, or perfluorocarbons, are found in chemicals often used in Durable Water Repellent (or DWR), and once released into the environment, those chemicals are no good. Instead of harmful PFCs, we’re using a friendlier, bio-based treatment that will still keep your fabric dry in a storm but is kinder to you and our planet.
