Flylow athlete Agostina Vietti will make her FWT debut this week in Spain.
It’s the night before the first stop of the 2026 Freeride World Tour (FWT) season and Agostina Vietti is trying very hard not to not be nervous. Vietti is one of 11 women skiers competing on this year’s Freeride World Tour, which kicks off this week in Spain with the Baqueira Beret Pro. She’s scouted her line on the legendary Tuc de Bacivèr face, a venue that hasn’t hosted a competition due to snow conditions since 2023. She’s attended the athlete meeting. Now she just needs to do the damn thing. We called up Vietti, a Flylow athlete who grew up in San Martín de los Andes, a small town in Patagonia, Argentina, to talk about how she got her and what she plans to throw down.
How are you feeling about the Baqueira Beret Pro?
We just had the athlete meeting and we saw some forerunners on the venue—the snow looked good. The venue looks friendly. I’ve picked out a line that’s right in the center of the venue. I’m going to ski a chute, do a couple of hits. I like big, open spaces. I don’t like tight, technical lines. I like to be able to make big, fast turns. There are some trees I can use as checkpoints to find my line.
You are the first woman from Argentina to quality for the Freeride World Tour. That’s quite an honor.
It’s a dream come true. I have been looking forward to this so for so long. I finally made it. I’m trying not to be too nervous. I keep thinking, I really want to do this, I want to enjoy the run down. I have a lot of friends and family who are supporting me, so I’m excited to show them what I can do.
You grew up ski racing and chasing your older brother, Matias, who first got you into freeride competitions. What does he think of where you are now?
I started ski club when I was 4 and stopped racing when I was 15. That made me very competitive. It was my brother’s dream to get to the tour. He was the one who convinced me to try this. I started in South America. He’s very proud of me. He always texts me. He had many injuries and had to give up on his dream, but he says it was meant to be that I made it here.
You also work as a freeride coach in Colorado. What do you love about coaching?
Getting the kids to be more confident, skiing with them. Showing them how to have more fun in the mountains. It’s all very fun.

What advice do you have for young girls who want to follow in your footsteps?
Keep training. Find some friends who push you to ski and do your best.
Describe your ski style in three words.
Aggressive. Fast. Playful.
What are your goals for this season?
I would love to make it to finals. I just want to ski well and show my ski style to everyone.
Favorite piece of Flylow Gear?
The Baker Bibs are my favorite. They last a long time. They’re very comfortable. I like the touches on the knees and cuffs. They don’t break.
