Guide Matt Appleford leads ski trips to Gulmarg, in the Indian Himalaya, through The Adventure Project. He checked in with us to tell us how this winter was going, share some photos, and tell us how his Flylow gear was holding up. You can read more from Matt here.
The trip has been going really well so far. We arrived in Gulmarg on January 25th and unfortunately the resort was off to a really slow start, not much snow with rocks everywhere and really sketchy snowpack. Well, a couple of weeks in and the avi danger is still pretty high, but now at least we have a lot more snow after two decent storms.

The snow lower down off the chairlift and in the trees has been amazing, with a surprise storm yesterday that left us with 60 centimeters of fresh on the upper mountain. There were face shots galore from the chairlift it was one of my best days skiing in Gulmarg. The gear has been working great, it's been keeping me dry during the snowy days and venting well when we are working hard. Matt Appleford
