This new film series celebrates doing life your own way—no matter how hard that may be.
At Flylow, we talk a lot about living life on your own terms, since we make gear for those who are doing just that. But what does that mean exactly? It’s different for everyone, of course, but the intentions are the same: Instead of following a set path through life, you’ve sometimes got to carve your own way to make time for the things that matter most to you. That might mean moving to a mountain town so you can get outside more often. Or quitting the job with the strict schedule in lieu of one that’s more flexible. Or prioritizing community, family, and nature over things we’re often taught to care about, like careers or possessions.
This new video series, “Peaks and Passages,” by KGB Productions and supported by Flylow, celebrates the risk takers and free spirits who’ve been willing to zig when others zag and work tirelessly in order to follow their passions. Each episode shadows a new character or two, but you’ll see some consistent themes throughout the series, like relying on mentors to get by, using your community and working together so you all succeed, and putting in grit and hard work to pursue the experiences that aren’t easy but are always worth it. These people are sometimes hiding in the shadows, behind-the-scenes movers and shakers that you may not know about, but you’ll certainly be inspired by.
