Most down jackets don’t breathe very well. (Picture a sleeping bag in a sauna.) Which means it’s very easy to overheat. We designed the Charlie Jacket to be the cold-weather protection you need on a blustery day but with Intuitive PHD Stretch 2L fabric and insulation that’s light and breathable, so it’ll let heat and moisture out when you need it. The result is a jacket that’s comfortable and versatile in a wide variety of conditions. It comes with underarm vents for additional cooling and skier-specific features, like internal pockets to stash your stuff, a hood that fits over your helmet, and a removable powder skirt.

Pertex Quantum

What good is down insulation inside a jacket if the exterior fabric isn’t doing anything in support? Pertex Quantum is like the insulation’s maid of honor—it’s there to make sure all the pieces fall into place. This tightly woven exterior fabric, constructed from fine yarns, has a light, soft feel that allows the insulation to fully loft. It traps still air to improve the warmth and efficiency of the insulating layer, and it’s coated with a DWR to dispel wind, rain, and snow.

Responsible Down Standard Certified

Responsible Down Standard, or RDS, means every feather used in our 800- or 600-fill down insulation has been third-party certified for safety standards, ensuring that all geese and ducks are raised by certified farms that meet the highest levels of animal welfare compliance and supply chain traceability.

A super-hydrophobic exterior surface treatment that offers enhanced waterproofing and breathability and is certified PFA/PFC free.
