Backcountry Film Fest Coming Your Way

Backcountry Film Festival 2017/2018 National Tour from Winter Wildlands Alliance on Vimeo. The Winter Wildlands Alliance brings us the 13th annual tour of the Backcountry Film Festival, which will be visiting 120 venues across the country from November to March. Come watch a movie, meet a new friend, and drink a beer while you dream of powder days ahead. The tour premieres in Boise, Idaho, in November, with 90 minutes of a curated, hand-picked collection of short films, all centered on backcountry skiing. "The hope was that the film screening would generate a sense of community and what it means to be winter human-powered recreationists," Keili Bell, the Backcountry Film Festival Producer, told Backcountry Magazine. "We saw the need to gather people together for this cause, so we brought select films together under the title of the Backcountry Film Festival and offered them to grassroots groups across the country as an outreach and fundraising tool." Tour dates and more details available at backcountryfilmfestival.org. And you can read more about the festival on Backcountry Magazine's website.
