Ross Tester was born and raised in Truckee, California. Growing up in a mountain town, he was introduced to outdoor sports and recreation around the Lake Tahoe area from a young age. "Ever since I was a kid, my life has revolved around activities like mountain biking, hiking, trail running, and most of all, skiing," Tester says. "The Tahoe area has never been short of great influences in the ski world." Between watching classic ski movies from the area and getting to see the legends of the sport in real life, he was able to find inspiration everywhere. He came up through the team at Palisades Tahoe with the goal of making it on the Freeride World Tour and filming ski segments. Goals achieved: He competed on the FWT for three years, graduated from the University of Utah with a communications degree, and he's made a few showings in major ski films. "I'm looking forward to what life brings next and to keeping the good times rolling," he says.
