Holden Samuels grew up in Big Sky, Montana. He spent his youth outdoors; hiking, biking, camping, riding, water skiing, playing football, etc. He learned to snowboard when he was 8 years, and fell in love with Freeride by riding steep faces with his older brother on the tram and headwaters at Big Sky Resort. Holden has been competing in Freeride competitions since he was 15, winning the IFSA North American Championships twice as a junior. He qualified for the FWT in 2022 after graduating from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a degree in marketing. The winter of 2025 will be his 3rd season on the Freeride World Tour. "I have always been a competitive person, so I love the opportunity to compete against the best in my sport on the world stage.", said Samuels. When he isn't on snow, he enjoys mountain biking, hiking, camping, traveling, and playing the guitar.
